Places To Visit

Ollantaytambo the last Inca city

It is located 90 km northwest Cusco. It has an altitude of 2,792 m.a.s.l. It is formed by narrow, straight and picturesque streets and colonial, colorful houses, built upon Inca finest constructions. Ollantaytambo is the unique Inca town still inhabited by local families. All the design and structure of the original Inca town.

Pisac Traditional market & Pisac Archaeological Park

The town of Pisac is just 45 minutes from the city of Cusco. Sundays are the best day to visit this beautiful town and its handicraft market. We can find from musical instruments to clothing made from Alpaca wool all these made by people from the nearby villages who come down to Pisac wearing their typical costumes to offer their best products. It is an archaeological complex, located 30 kilometers away from Cusco. It has the form of the Partridge of the Andes (perdiz de puna). Property of the Inca Pachacutec, it possesses terraces or platforms, domestic and ceremonial structures, and aqueducts that provided water for agriculture.

Kenko “Inca mummification Center”

It means ``maze or twisted labyrinth``. The name translates as zig zag, perhaps by the small channels carved with the stroke that you see in the rocks of the place and may have been used to lead the chicha or the blood of the sacrificed llamas. It lies east of Sacsayhuaman, at an altitude of 3600 m.a.s.l on an outcrop of limestone formation of Yunkaypata that was formed in the Cretaceous about 80 million years ago.

Tambomachay Inca baths

Tambomachay ``means a place of rest`` although similarly referred to as ``Baños del inca`` or ``baños de la ñusta``. The double name ``bath of the inca`` and ``bath of the ñusta``. It is by the presence in the complex of two aqueducts which transport clean water throughout the year.

Pukapukara “migratory center in the Tahuantinsuyo”

It is a military building located near Cusco in Peru. This fortress made of large walls, terraces and stairways, it was part of the defensive set of Cusco and The Inca Empire.

The Puma head or Sacsayhuaman

It is the largest and most impressive of the four ruins outside Cusco, Peru. It was built during the Government of Pachacutec, in the 15th century. However, it was Huayna Cápac who ended it in the 16th century.
